Laminar Plumes from a Line Source and Their Possible Flow Behaviours

Numerical investigation on laminar plumes that under goes buoyancy reversal had just been made, fixing both Re & Pr and varying Fr during the simulations. Water density was taken as a quadratic function of temperature. The result showed some side-to-side apping bobbing motion after core fountain were exposed together with head detachment behaviour. At fountains core, profiles vertical velocity component show decrease in height is not smoother even at higher Froude numbers compared to case our previous study for (Re = 50). Empirically determined scalings laws time attain maximum obtained. Initially rising symmetric takes much longer fully developed stage increases before sufficient dense fluid produced halt their rise. Generally, we can conclude dependence relation assumption, Irrespective ow parameters used within Reynolds number range 50 \(\le\) 100 Prandtl 7&11:4 behaviour remains same. Except slight differences earlier investigation, represents balance between inertia forces (responsible variation heights).
